Electronic Filing of court documents is now mandatory in Erie County through the New York State Court Electronic Filing System ( NYSCEF). e-Filing Now MandatoryĪs of Tuesday, October 1, 2013, under Chapter 184 of the Laws of 2012, which authorizes mandatory e-filing in Erie County Supreme Court, will continue conversion from consensual to mandatory e-filing of court matters by expanding the types of cases now required to be electronically filed. After September 1, all documents, unless sealed by court order, will be visible to the public. ![]() Unsealed documents were previously visible only after the issuance of an Index Number.
